iTunes replaced Tower Records, a behemoth with millions of dollars in physical assets, with online purchasing and no physical inventory. Tower Records did not have a plan to adapt to changing technology; no Moat = the end of the line for them.

M2: Meaning

Something of high-perceived value all of a sudden becomes worthless because something better came out and it’s free.

This demonstrates how volatile current market conditions are, and it shows how essential it is to determine the Meaning (M2) of your company and its products to your customers in order to evaluate your long-term value and profit potential.

M3: Management

Management, as defined here, is positioning your company to maximize funding opportunities by increasing your valuation.
